WHAT IS CAP?
The objectives of Computer for All Programme in RSUST (CAP RSUST) are as follows:
  • To ensure that all lecturers, students and other academic or non-academic staff in the university have personal access to basic ICT infrastructure i.e. either a desktop computer, a laptop computer or both in a manner that promotes convenience and less struggle.
  • To ensure that lecturers, students and other academic or non-academic staff of the university have basic knowledge on the use of basic ICT infrastructure through training sessions, workshops and practical tests.
  • To make all stakeholders in the university not only computer literate, but able to participate actively in the digitization of the university and in the attainment of the goals and objectives of the ICT master plan
  • To compliment the ICT Master plan in the areas of capacity development and technology acquisition for both students and staff. more...
CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT
All students should go through a compulsory ICT training and be certified by at least one (1)international or world-acclaimed ICT organization before they are allowed to graduate. This is because, ICT skills remain the most sought after from employers of labour in the society. Research has proved that most graduates remain unemployed because they lack some of these basic skills needed by employers; and ICT forms the core. more
